Her expertise encompasses environmental effects assessments, ecological research, and regulatory compliance, with specialized knowledge in mining sector licensing and aquatic monitoring programs.
Dr. Otto earned her doctorate studying periphyton community ecology across ecological gradients in Southern Africa. She now leads complex consulting projects involving environmental effects assessments, baseline studies design and implementation, and technical reporting for aquatic ecology, water quality, fish, and fish habitat projects. Her comprehensive understanding of provincial permitting processes makes her invaluable for developments involving aquatic infrastructure and regulatory approvals.
